Service Specialties, a family-owned and operated HVAC and plumbing company in Virginia, wanted to show what sets them apart from their private equity-owned competitors.
They went All-In with Capture to create a brand story, customer testimonial video, recruitment video, multiple advertisements, short-form videos, and a new photo library. As a home services company, they needed video content that clearly communicated their values, built trust with customers, and helped attract top talent. Read about the process below.
2 FILMING SESSIONS

"We absolutely love them! The branding one brought literal tears to my eyes. So well done."

Before every filming session, we work closely with our clients to plan exactly what will be captured. This includes defining the overall messaging and purpose of each video, how the content will be used, identifying b-roll and photography opportunities, and creating an efficient filming schedule to maximize every minute on set.
For Service Specialties, the strategy was clear from the beginning. As a family-owned and operated HVAC and plumbing company, they wanted to emphasize what set them apart from many of their competitors, who had recently been acquired by private equity firms. People value working with local, family-owned businesses, so that message needed to be front and center throughout every piece of content.

We planned a collection of deliverables that included a Brand Story, Recruitment Video, Customer Testimonial Video, and multiple advertisements built from voiceover and b-roll. Every video reinforced the same family-owned message while serving a different marketing purpose. This type of home services video production allows companies to create content that can be used across their website, social media, recruiting campaigns, and digital advertising.
With only two filming days available, detailed pre-production was essential. Before boarding a flight, we had already mapped out every location, interview, b-roll sequence, and photo opportunity. Our schedule included filming at multiple customer locations, Service Specialties' headquarters, and several off-site locations, ensuring we captured everything needed as efficiently as possible. This process is what allows us to create professional HVAC and plumbing videos without disrupting day-to-day operations.
Whether you’re creating a collection of short-form social videos or one complex, high-impact production, all editing is included, even photo editing. In addition to the primary deliverables outlined above, we created short-form videos for social media, multiple TV spots using voiceover, and a library of professionally edited photos.
That’s right, you can use part of your All-In filming sessions to capture photography, and the editing is included at no additional cost. We also don’t cap revisions. While most videos require only minim al changes, you’re welcome to provide as much feedback as needed until every video is exactly how you want it.

After filming, Service Specialties now has a complete library of video and photo content they can use across every part of their marketing. Their Brand Video helps communicate who they are and why being family-owned and operated matters, while their Recruitment Video helps attract the next generation of technicians to their team. Customer testimonial videos and short-form content provide social proof, helping potential customers see the experience and trust that comes from working with a local company.
The content continues to be used across their website, social media, advertising campaigns, and recruiting efforts. Instead of creating one-off videos for a single purpose, Service Specialties now has a collection of evergreen content that consistently reinforces their biggest differentiator: a family-owned company that still cares about its customers and community.
For home service companies like HVAC, plumbing, and other skilled trades, video marketing is one of the best ways to build trust before a customer ever picks up the phone. Service Specialties now has the tools to showcase their team, tell their story, and connect with both homeowners and future employees through professional video content.
